Chile Copper Output Fell 2.3% to 454,455 Tons in May

Chilean copper output fell 2.3 percent in May from a year earlier, the government said.

 

Production of the metal declined to 454,455 metric tons, from 464,973 tons in May 2008, the country's national statistics office said today in a statement.

 

Output of molybdenum, a byproduct of copper production, rose 54 percent to 2,705 tons, the agency said.
